JORNADA DE PREPARACIÓN
ALMUERZO DE TRABAJO EN LA CASA DE MARTINA (CORRIENTES)
LUNCH IN MARTINA'S HOUSE (CORRIENTES CITY)
MARTINA JULIANA PERDUCA
Martina Juliana Perduca was born in 1981 in Charata, a small town in the interior of the Province of Chaco. In 2000 she moved to Corrientes city to study. Martina graduated in Food Engineering three years ago and now is studying a PhD in Food Science and Technology.
Martina works at the Cuenca del Plata University as a teacher and integrates a research group about Food Biopolymers.
She was technical advisor for several food companies in the region. Currently she develops her profession in the Ministry of Human Development of the Government. She works in an interdisciplinary team for the promotion of low-income families, specifically to the production, processing, preservation, evaluation, nutrition and distribution of food products.
She lives alone in an apartment, she is single and her family is composed by her parents, a sister and two brothers.
In her free time, gymnastics and sports are a good recreation every day to meet friends and share relaxation time.
Martina enjoys the outdoor life. Her favorite place is the Parana River where she likes going by boat, sunbathing and swimming. She likes watching shows of wakeboard and motocross. She loves dancing, so she goes to the local discos at the weekends. Her hobby is travelling and learning about new places, so she has many friends in different provinces of Argentina and enjoys visiting them.
She would like to visit Universities of Food Science and Technology and contact with research groups, especially about Food Biopolymers. And also she would like schools teaching nutrition and factories and industries related to food and drinks production.-

MARIO ALBERTO AVALOS
Mario is actually a manager of a supermarket.He was born in Buenos Aires. He began to work in his family´s
little store when he started high school. It grew up until turned on to be a supermarket.
In 1996 he moved to Mercedes, Corrientes with his family,
where he finished high school and then he studied to become a
Computer Systems Operator.
He worked as a teacher in Informatics and studied English in a
private institute. At the same time he participated in several
computer courses.
A few years ago (2006) he assumed the full management of the supermarket.
He was always interested in helping the community. That´s why he belongs to Mercedes Rotaract Club since 2005, where he has an active participation nowadays.
Furthermore, Mario is an amateur musician. He plays the Spanish guitar and used to play the electric bass in several bands where he learned to love all kind of rhythms.
He would like to see Supermarket managing and good distribution.

ANALIA CECILIA CORONEL
Analía Coronel is a lawyer, she was graduated at Northestern National University in Corrientes in 2007.She lives in Formosa with her parents. She is currently employed at the Department of Minority and family; she is in charge of the legal status and evaluation of minors at risk, in conflict with the laws, drugs, family violence, abuse of minors and abandonment.
She also works as a free lance employee at a legal studio. Her specialty is punitive damages.
In her spare time, she loves to read history, politics and current events. Besides reading, she enjoys exercising, cycling, roller skating, walking and going to the gym.
In addition to her professional interests, she really likes to study foreign languages; she speaks English, Portuguese and French.
She is interested in gathering young professionals in her city to start Rotaract.

ERICA BURGUENER
Erica lives in Resistencia, a city in the north of Argentina. She is 27 years old and she is a physical therapist.
She works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the local Hospital where she treats newborns with respiratory deseases. She also treats adult patients at their own homes and she has worked in several private physical therapist consulting rooms.
Erica graduated in the Northeast National University in Corrientes in 2007. She wants to become a specialist in Respiratory Therapy so she is studing and attending different posgrade courses.
Personally, she likes outdoor activities, like hiking, camping, rafting and being always in contact with nature. She also likes cultural and arts events, and she especially loves music. She really enjoys listening to live music, attending concerts and going to the theater to see, for example, dancing shows.
She would really likes to get to know the American culture. Visiting museums, galeries, historical places and landmarks will be great. An experience she would not miss is watch a typical American baseball or basketball match if it is posible!
She has a lot of expectations about this trip and she is very thankful to the Rotary Foundation and to the families that will receive them at their homes.
Erica is a member of Rotaract Resistencia Sud and she would likes to visit another club and learn how they work and what their projects are.
She is very interested in visiting Neonatal Intensive Care Units to exchange experiences and see how physical therapists work there. A good experience would be visit local Medicine Universities too to see the educational system. Also it would be nice if she can visit an Adults Intensive Care Unit, or see a Respiratory Rehabilitation program. ERICA BURGUENER

ANA LIA FERNANDEZ – TEAM LEADER
She is a Teacher of English at different levels : kinder, children, adolescents and adults. At High school, while teaching, she started the first Conflict resolution program at school in the province and trained teachers for mediation. Now she is teaching at University English for medical careers and for students of Informatics.
She is an active Rotary member in environmental issues and social care activities. She is currently running a program to prevent road accidents when leaving schools in combination with local City Hall. She is the Director of the International Avenue in her club, in charge of the Interchange Program and working for the Rotary Friendship Interchange for the District.
She lived his whole life in Resistencia, now she is living alone because her three children are already graduated and working in different cities. One girl is living in Italy and the other two are medical practitioners in very distant provinces.She enjoys outdoor activities and multicultural meetings. She loves music and dancing and any kind of cultural events.
